Does your child struggle with maths? Despite intervention have they failed to make progress? Have you tried everything to help and now you are not sure what else to do?

How can I help?
I am a specialist dyscalculic tutor and assessor. I work in a mixed secondary school, supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans in the classroom. I also screen pupils who have been identified as experiencing persistent and unexplained difficulties in maths and provide maths intervention. Outside of school, I support pupils who have been unable to achieve their full potential in maths.

I offer services ranging from a screening to better understand your child’s difficulty with maths to a full diagnostic assessment for dyscalculia and maths learning difficulties.

Tuition is based on a full and thorough understanding of your child’s strengths and weaknesses. It is highly individualised, delivering the learning they need in the way they need it.

All lessons use a multi-sensory approach, using games where appropriate to reduce anxiety, whilst developing memory skills and including frequent opportunities for practice. At the end of each lesson, your child will have the opportunity to evaluate their own learning.

Why Me?
I have a PhD in Psychology from University College London, a Level 5 in Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties from Edge Hill University and a Level 7 in Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties from Chester University. I hold a current full Disclosure and Barring Services certificate (renewal service) and I am full insured.

Having personal experience of a child with dyscalculia, I understand how frustrating and worrying it can be and I do everything in my power to help the children I support achieve in maths. I try my upmost always to go the extra mile.
