I am a qualified teacher with a vast range of experience teaching mathematics from KS1 through to KS4. Through my tutoring business – Maths Is Beautiful, I provide personalised, supportive tuition for children who find maths challenging, including pupils with Dyscalculia and other maths learning difficulties.

Every child is different, so I take time to understand their individual strengths, needs and learning profile. This enables me to provide a personalised service that is centred around the child whilst developing their mathematical understanding and building their confidence.

25 years of teaching experience

In England, it’s the professional accreditation you need to teach in most state-maintained primary, secondary, and special schools. QTS demonstrates that you’ve met the required teaching standards set by the Department for Education (DfE), including:

  • Subject knowledge

  • Classroom management
  • Ability to assess and track pupil progress
  • Professional and ethical conduct

  • It’s aimed at experienced teachers, SENCOs, learning support staff, or educational professionals who already have strong teaching foundations (often at Level 3 or above).

A Level 5 Dyscalculia course usually covers:
